Computer Engineering at the University of Mumbai. I wrote code before I managed it — a Django resume generator shipped end-to-end at Sahu Technologies, and nights that went to side builds: a crime-pattern prediction engine that clustered raw local-language data, a movie recommender that read review sentiment through NLP, a WiFi-based attendance app built at a hackathon, and a website designed gentle enough for grandparents to use.
The other education happened off-campus: national-level Smart India Hackathon, four years volunteering with NSS — blood-donation camps, awareness rallies, rural education drives — and in 2019, co-founding Mitro, a heritage-preservation nonprofit that's still growing seven years later.
As a Technical Product Manager at ATG and Banao Technologies, I ran 3 concurrent projects across the full SDLC with JIRA, Figma and ClickUp — and discovered the role I was built for: primary liaison between client and engineering, translating ambition into shippable scope. Sprints got 10% faster through resource reallocation. Scope creep got a bouncer at the door of every Change Request.
Then nine months at Exaltica as a Business Development & Technology Associate showed me the other side of the table — client outreach, lead tracking, scoping requirements, and keeping technical and commercial teams speaking the same language. Selling the work turned out to be the best training for delivering it.
MS in Information Systems at UMBC (GPA 3.7), 8,000 miles from home. As Treasurer of the Graduate Student Organization I govern a $1M+ annual budget — my two-unit governance redesign grew grants 19% and reached 24 more students. For pQCee, a Singapore quantum-cybersecurity startup, I led the 4-person team whose U.S. market-entry strategy the company adopted. Machine learning coursework shipped real models too — an H1B visa outcome predictor and an OTT churn model that hit 88.4% accuracy.
And because the international-student ride isn't free: I also work the front desk for UMBC Residential Life — first point of contact for students and families, phones, packages, scheduling, paperwork. Juggling that with grad school and a seven-figure budget is its own project-management certification.
This part of the story is harder to version-control. School plays, sports seasons, art hobbies, treks into the hills, a reading pile that never shrinks, long gaming nights — the list is hard to put a full stop on.
But the chapters I keep re-reading are the social ones: organizing blood-donation camps, running education-awareness campaigns in rural India, handing out books and learning resources to make the case that education is worth reaching for. Nothing in a sprint retro feels quite like that.
My personal favorite is Mitro — a passion project a few friends and I started that has since touched many lives, with close to 90 individuals now joining hands. We run workshops and learning sessions for digital literacy, personal growth, and higher-education access; build partnerships with schools and local organizations; and create inclusive spaces where student voices guide the planning. We run grassroots surveys to find the real barriers to education and let that feedback shape the programs. I tell our story publicly to bring in volunteers — and keep the books transparent as Treasurer.
Builder + translator + operator = a Technical Program Manager who has lived every seat at the table. If you're shipping something complex, I want to run it.
Designed a two-unit governance model (GSA/OGSL) for UMBC's graduate student budget, with a cross-committee cadence across 3 bodies enabling proactive surplus reallocation.
Machine learning model predicting H1B application outcomes (Certified/Denied) from real-world Kaggle data. Cleaned and processed 50,000+ visa records, engineered features around wage level, job title and employer, and managed large datasets with Git LFS. Designed the presentation poster.
Team-built churn model over 50,000 users and 10 years of viewing data. Tested Logistic Regression, SVM and DNNs — SVM won at 88.4% accuracy, 0.782 ROC-AUC. Engineered features like average watch time per session, tuned hyperparameters, and translated results into retention strategy.
Unsupervised-learning engine predicting crime rates and surfacing patterns by location and time — with built-in web scraping for dataset collection. Converted local-language raw data to trainable form and visualized insights for non-technical users.
Recommender built on genre, search and watch history with a tag system, TMDB API integration for banners, cast and reviews — plus sentiment analysis of mined reviews to judge whether a film is actually worth watching.
Django web app taking structured user input to polished, automatically generated PDF resumes via django.template and pdfkit — with swappable templates per use case and an HTML/CSS front end.
Android app taking college attendance over WiFi/hotspot — a hackathon problem statement carried through to a working app supported on Android 10.
A health and diet-plan website designed for senior citizens — warm UI, dead-simple navigation, and large type so the people it serves never strain to read it. Accessibility as the core requirement, not an afterthought.
A hand-written GLSL Navier–Stokes fluid solver running in real time behind everything you're reading — semi-Lagrangian advection, vorticity confinement, Jacobi pressure solve. No frameworks.
